TESTIMONIAL
“In the nearly 20 years that I have been either a board member or property manager of a condominium association the complaints most often heard about the services provided to residents concerned the quality of lawn-cutting or snow-plowing services. Since choosing Bluemel’s to provide both lawn care and snow-plowing those complaints have become a thing of the past. The Bluemel’s staff consistently performs their jobs in an efficient, courteous, and careful manner.
In addition to providing quality work, Bluemel’s manager, Maintenance Manager Carlos Casso, is the first person in his position to call or stop by the office periodically to check on the level of satisfaction with services. In the past most interaction with providers were initiated by complaints. Not so with Carlos and Bluemel’s!
In a time of fiscal restraint in our budget, the board of directors is very pleased to have found a company and staff that provides value for the money we spend and plan of continuing our partnership with Bluemel’s into the future.”

Turf Maintenance Program
Our crews will visit your property on a weekly basis to give your lawn a well-manicured and groomed appearance. Prior to cutting services being preformed, property will be checked for litter and debris. Your lawn will be mowed every 7-10 days (weather permitting) to maintain a groomed appearance. Weather and growth patterns will generate between 20 -24 cuttings per season. The lawn will be maintained at a level between 2 ¾” and 3 ½”. Line trimming will be performed around buildings, trees, signs, fence lines, planting beds, etc. at each mowing. All sidewalks, patios, parking areas, etc. will be power-blown after each mowing.
Spring & Fall Clean-Up Programs
Relax! You can sit back and enjoy the gorgeous weather spring and fall has to offer while our crews perform the work. In spring, we will clear the entire property’s landscape of all leaves and debris that may have been leftover from the previous season.
Fall leaf clean-up will occur once in late October, and again during early November. We will blow out leaves and debris from all planting beds. Turf areas will be bagged by mowers and left at curbside for city pick-up. If your municipality does not have pick-up service, please notify us so that we may arrange debris disposal.
Your lawn will then be given it’s first (spring) or final (late fall) cut and all clippings and debris will be bagged. All shrubbery will receive a light contour pruning if necessary. All perennials will be cut back to promote new seasons growth (spring) or prepped for over-wintering (late fall). All unwanted debris will then be removed and disposed of.
5-Step Lawn Fertilization Program
Our crews will visit your property with 5 scheduled visits throughout the year to apply the necessary fertilizers and weed preventers to your lawn as it needs it during the season . The timetable for each application is based on temperature, weather, and growing conditions. The 5-Step program consists of the following applications:
Our Process
STEP 1: (Mid-April) Consists of a well balanced, complete fertilizer, pre-emergent crabgrass control and broadleaf weed control (granular).
STEP 2: (Late May) Consists of a triple action broadleaf weed controller (liquid).
STEP 3 : (Early June) Consists of an application of slow release Nitrogen fertilizer to feed your lawn keeping it green through the typically dry season (customer should be watering if rain is not prevalent). We will, if necessary, at this time spot treat any germinated broadleaf weeds (granular/liquid).
STEP 4: (Late August/ Early September) This application will be a combination of Iron fertilizer (restores deep green color to turf) and triple action broadleaf weed killer. Dry and hot weather causes the lawn to go dormant; loosing its color and thinning out. These conditions promote weed growth. The fall season is a natural time for germinated weeds to drop their seeds for the fall season, we will nip future problems in the “bud” by killing them off before their seeds can fall.
STEP 5: (Early October) Consists of a seasonal fertilizer that is designed to help develop root growth; this will help in the recovery from summer stress, as well as in preparation for the long, hard winter. Also included, is a time-released fertilizer, which will be taken up and stored in the lawn’s roots. This will be available to the root system right away in spring, thus greening and strengthening your lawn earlier in the spring growing season.
